The Personal Data Protection policy applies to all natural subjects who do business with the Eurognosis centers (Filothei & Nea Ionia) such as students, parents, guardians, employees, trainers, suppliers and partners.

With this policy, we are committed to complying with all the terms and provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016 (General Data Protection Regulation), the national and community legislation for the protection of personal data.

Eurognosis Group is active in the provision of foreign language and IT education services, developing a particularly expanded franchising system. The franchisor ensures all the franchisees the appropriate know-how and support in information systems so that they can effectively manage all their activities. With regard to the processing of personal data as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation, the licensor and the licensees act as joint Controllers.

What personal data we collect about you

Personal data as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 is "Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one whose identity can be ascertained, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identity number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to the physical , physical, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of the natural person in question".

At EUROGNOSI Group tutoring schools we collect the following personal data:

Student data: name, date of birth, home address, telephone, email, school class (in the case of minors), occupation (in the case of an adult), Identity Card Number for participation in knowledge certification exams, Information on any learning difficulties, knowledge level in foreign languages languages

Parents' data (in the case of minor students): name, address, contact phone number, email address, occupation

Employee data¨First name, patronymic, patronymic, identity card, TIN, DOU, AMIKA, AMKA, address, telephone, email, ethnic origin, account number, education level, years of service, marital status, number of children

Supplier data: Name, VAT number, DOU, address, telephone, email

Third-party data: name, phone, address (data you provide to us as a referral source)

We collect the above data from you following an expression of interest in studying or looking for a job at our tutoring centers via telephone, physical presence or online application on the website of the licensor Eurognosis. We do not retain data that we have not received from the physical subjects themselves.

How we process your personal data

Processing as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation is "Any act or series of acts carried out with or without the use of automated means, on personal data or sets of personal data such as the collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, retrieval of information, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or any other form of disposal, association or combination, restriction, deletion or destruction”.

At Eurognosis Group , all of our tutorials apply the principle of data minimization. The personal data we process is appropriate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

Data accuracy is at the heart of our Privacy Policy. The personal data we process is accurate and in any case we take care to update it in a timely manner. At the same time, we take all reasonable steps to immediately delete or correct personal data that is inaccurate.

Retention Time

We limit the storage period only to the time necessary for the purposes of processing the personal data. Particularly:

the physical record of applications and re-registration applications is destroyed at the end of the school year
the foreign language diplomas after your successful participation in the exams are kept by the tutoring institutes for up to 2 years at your service and then destroyed.
annual progress checks are kept until the start of the new school year and then destroyed.
documents related to learning disabilities are destroyed immediately after your participation in the examination process, unless with your express consent, you request their preservation until the next examinations.
student records are kept until the end of the following school year and then destroyed

It is noted that there are personal data that are stored for longer than the processing period for the purpose of archiving in the public interest. In this case, tax and insurance data belong, for which we apply the appropriate organizational and technical measures.

Integrity and Confidentiality

The processing is done in such a way as to achieve the security of personal data, through integrity and confidentiality. In any case, authorized access, monitoring of access to personal data, proper destruction, other technical measures are foreseen.

When do we ask for your consent?

For any case of processing purpose other than the execution of the contract for the provision of educational services and the fulfillment of the tutoring school's legal obligation, you are asked for your express consent after all the necessary information has been provided to you. We may ask for your consent for:

Sending informative emails about our services provided, after you have first expressed interest in them

Taking photos and videos during holidays and various events of our tutorials
Posting photos and videos on our website
Posting photos and videos on social media with a clear description of them

Taking videos during the educational process in preparation for the exam

This consent is maintained by our educational institutions in the context of compliance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation.

You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. We inform you that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the legality of processing that took place before it.

Recipients of your personal data

Your personal data is registered in the information system of the franchisor Eurognosis in accordance with the legal obligation of the tutoring schools . The licensor has taken all the necessary technical measures to achieve a high level of security. We take care, by taking appropriate technical and organizational measures, to achieve processing security, always in accordance with the latest technological developments in order to protect your data from any unauthorized access, incorrect use, alteration, prohibited dissemination, disclosure, loss or accidental/ unlawful destruction and any other form of unlawful processing. In particular, encryption is applied, and at the same time we ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability and reliability of processing systems. It is possible to restore availability and access to personal data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical event. The licensor adopts a procedure for assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of technical and organizational measures to ensure all of the above.

Your personal data is shared with the bodies certifying knowledge of foreign languages with the main purpose of executing the contract between us after your information.

What are your rights?

We respect all of your rights arising from the processing of your personal data. Your rights according to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016/EU are:

Right of Access (Article 15): you can at any time access your personal data to confirm the categories of data we hold, the purpose of processing, the legal processing, any transmission to third parties, the period for which they are stored or the criteria that determine this period of time, the rights you have, the source of origin of the personal data if it has not been collected from you.
Right of Correction (Article 16): you can at any time contact the Workshop and correct/ update your personal data. We will periodically update your information to keep it accurate.
Right to Deletion (Article 17): you can at any time decide to delete your personal data. We will delete the data we hold if it is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected, there is no other legal basis for the processing due to withdrawal of consent and if you no longer wish for the processing. It is noted that personal data will be retained for the establishment, exercise or support of our legal claims and for archiving purposes in the public interest and/or legal obligation imposed by tax and insurance law.
Right to restriction of processing (Article 18). You have the right to ask us to restrict processing. In this case, the said personal data, apart from storage, will only be processed by us with your consent.

In exercising your rights, we will communicate any rectification or erasure or restriction of processing to each recipient to whom the personal data was disclosed, if this becomes possible. At the same time, you will be informed, if you wish, about these recipients (Article 19).

Ways of Exercising the Rights

To exercise your rights, we have provided easy ways. To restrict processing for commercial purposes or withdraw consent, you can press "unsubscribe" in each email or set your phone to disable unsolicited messages.

For all your rights, we follow the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation as described in Article 12. You can send us an email at filothei@eurognosi.info. You have the possibility to exercise your rights verbally, provided that your identity is proven by other means. For the security of your data, we may ask for certain information to identify you.

Cost and response time

We will process your request immediately and completely and within one month we will satisfy your right. In exceptional cases, our response time may be extended by two more months, taking into account the complexity of the request and the number of requests. In this case, we will inform you of said extension and the reasons for the delay within one month of receiving the request.

All information is provided free of charge. Exceptions are manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, in particular due to their repetitive nature. In this case, in accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 12 of the General Data Protection Regulation we may impose a reasonable fee or refuse to proceed with the request.

If we do not satisfy your request, we will inform you without delay and at the latest within a month of receiving the request about the reasons why we did not take the relevant action, the possibility of contacting the Personal Data Protection Authority and the possibility of bringing legal action.

Automated decision making

Eurognosis tutorials do not adopt automated decision-making methods

Closed circuit television

Tutoring schools may have closed circuit television (CCTV) installed for the purpose of protecting people and goods from damage and illegal actions.

The circuit operates in accordance with current legislation and the guidelines of the Personal Data Protection Authority.

The cameras are not installed inside the classrooms or in the staff's workplaces, but only in common areas, in storage areas, in the cashier's area and in the perimeter areas of the school, without receiving an image from the surrounding public area.

There are informational signs before entering the surveillance areas.

The monitoring screens are located in a guarded area and only the relevant employees and the General Manager have access to them. In case of cooperation with an external company, the tutoring schools have ensured that it is bound by an obligation of confidentiality and taking all the necessary security measures.

Cameras do not record sound.

Download material is kept for 15 days, after which it is destroyed. In the event of an incident, the relevant material is kept in a separate file which is locked and forwarded to the competent police authorities.

Access to the recorded material, for as long as it is kept, is given to the persons depicted and third parties who document a superior legal interest following their written request. The relevant request is evaluated by the General Manager, who has the right to refuse access if he considers that there is no superior legal interest of the third party or that the access of the person depicted may interfere with the examination of the incident.

General commitments

The personal data of each category is kept for as long as is necessary for the purpose of processing.

The Eurognosis tutorials , all of our employees and external partners are bound by an obligation of confidentiality for the personal data of which they become aware during the exercise of their duties. They have all the obligations provided by the General Data Protection Regulation.

Update of this Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy in the event that the personal data we process changes or the processing that takes place is enriched or any other change is noted that is assessed as important for the Protection of personal data. The update will be posted on our website, and you will be notified by any means possible.
